Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

This policy explains what personal information Facility Living Inc. (“Facility”, “we”) collects through facility.living and the Capability Check service, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions and requests can be sent to us through the contact page.

1. What we collect

We collect:

The website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard usage data (such as pages viewed, approximate location, device, and browser), which is processed by Google on our behalf. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

2. How we use it

To schedule and deliver the Capability Check, prepare your Capability Report, process payment, communicate with you about your engagement, and meet our legal obligations. We may use aggregated, de-identified information to improve our services.

3. AI tools

We use AI tools to record and transcribe conversations, organize measurements and observations, and help consolidate findings and draft your Report, as described in our AI Use Disclosure. We do not use AI tools that train on your information.

4. Who we share it with

Only the service providers we use to deliver the service: payment processing (Stripe), cloud storage (Google Workspace), and the AI tools described in the AI Use Disclosure. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. Some providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of other jurisdictions.

5. Storage and security

Your information is stored in Facility's secured Google Workspace environment, with access limited to personnel involved in preparing your Report. [Confirm additional safeguards to name: two-factor authentication, access reviews, device encryption.]

6. Retention and deletion

We retain client files for [retention period]. You may request deletion of your file at any time after your Report is delivered, and we will action deletion requests within [30 days], except where we are required to retain information by law.

7. Access and correction

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You may withdraw consent to our collection and use of your information, though doing so may mean we cannot deliver or complete the service.

8. Marketing

We do not use your photographs or information in case studies or marketing without your separate written consent. [Confirm whether Facility sends marketing email; if so, CASL consent language is needed here.]

9. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your information that we cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its last-updated date, is posted at facility.living.
